  • 12 – 14 16/20 count shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound Barilla® organic spaghetti
  • 8 ounces Barilla® marinara sauce
  • 6-10 pepperoncini
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tablespoon chopped basil
  • pinch crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 ounces red wine optional
  1. Cook spaghetti for 9 minutes or per instructions on container for aldente pasta
  2. In a large saute pan add olive oil and chopped garlic
  3. As garlic begins to sizzle add pepperoncini and crushed red pepper flakes
  4. After about 30 seconds add shrimp and continue to saute until shrimp are about half way cooked
  5. Add red wine (optional), marinara sauce and half of the chopped basil
  6. Over low heat allow sauce to simmer for 3-5 minutes
  7. Mix a little of the sauce into the spaghetti and place portions in serving bowls.
  8. Top with shrimp, pepperoncini, additional sauce and a sprinkle of chopped basil.
  9. Serve with crusty bread and enjoy!
