The Futur Proche is used for:

  1. Immediate future actions:
    • Je vais t’appeler dans cinq minutes.
      (I am going to call you in five minutes.)
  2. Planned actions or intentions:
    • Nous allons organiser une fête.
      (We are going to organize a party.)
  3. Predictions about the near future:
    • Il va pleuvoir cet après-midi.
      (It is going to rain this afternoon.)

  • The Futur Proche describes actions that are certain or planned for the near future.
    Example: Je vais acheter une voiture. (I am going to buy a car soon.)
  • The Futur Simple is used for actions that are less immediate or for more formal contexts.
    Example: J’achèterai une voiture. (I will buy a car someday.)

  1. Demain (Tomorrow):
    • Je vais aller au travail demain.
      (I am going to work tomorrow.)
  2. Ce soir (Tonight):
    • Nous allons dîner au restaurant ce soir.
      (We are going to have dinner at a restaurant tonight.)
  3. Bientôt (Soon):
    • Il va commencer son nouveau travail bientôt.
